Four Points by Sheraton Hotel

The Four Points by Sheraton Newark/Christiana (formerly the Comfort Suites at Christiana) is a hotel that underwent a redevelopment of an existing motel. The redevelopment provided for expansion on the 4.39-acre site from a three-story, 65 room motel to a six-story, 120-room, 69,000 square foot hotel facility. The new hotel located on Old Baltimore Pike and Route 273 in Newark was rebranded as Four Points by Sheraton and now has a prominent presence on the busy travel corridor.

Scope of Work

Landmark Science & Engineering was responsible for planning, surveying, environmental services, FEMA map revision, civil engineering and site design, stormwater management BMPs, permits and agency processing and construction-phase services including certified construction review and construction stakeout and as-built surveys.

Environmental Services

The project required environmental services including wetland investigation, rare, threatened and endangered species (RTE) study and habitat assessment, and a Phase I environmental site assessment (ESA).
