Governor Square Retail & Residential
Since 1987, Landmark has worked closely with the developer of the Governor Square shopping center to provide all of the necessary planning, design, agency approvals and construction services for each phase of expansion of the retail and residential development.
Phase I was a mixed-use development with a 310,000 square foot strip shopping center, restaurants, and residential. Major road improvements to US 40 and SR 7 were completed as part of these projects. Additionally, Landmark worked with a multidisciplinary design team for the New Castle County Bear Library and Resource Center which was designed and constructed as part of the first phase of Governor Square.
Phase II: Planning and design for the second phase of Governor Square, along Pulaski Highway to the west of the existing center, included expansion of the retail shopping center and three pad sites currently occupied by Long Horn and Chick-fil-A restaurants and T-Mobile.
