Songsmith Drive – Route 7

East Songsmith Drive  is a roadway that winds through the retail development of Governor Square Phase III commercial center which is situated on a site bounded by SR 7, US 40, and SR 1 in the Bear area of New Castle County. The road has two entrance/exits on Route 7, just north of the Route 40 intersection.

Landmark was responsible for all roadway design for East Songsmith Drive including major entrance/exit improvements for a signalized entrance on  Route 7 with dual lane entrance/exits to the retail and residential developments on both sides of the road. In addition to the road widening and turn lane improvements on SR 7,  staff also provided utility relocation plans and coordination with multiple utility companies as part of the project.
