Troop 5 – Sussex County EMS 107
The Adams-Ewing Public Safety Complex is a 13,000 square foot facility that houses State Police Troop 5 and Sussex County Paramedic Station 107 in Bridgeville. This project marked the first time in Delaware that a state police troop and a county paramedic station have shared space. Landmark was selected as by the project architect to provide planning and site design services as part of a multidisciplinary design team. The project involved a renovation and expansion of the former 3,000 square foot home of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center.
The new facility has triple the space of the old and boasts twice the number of computers, segregated witness and suspect interview rooms, three holding cells, a helipad, ample office and meeting space, and a new paramedic garage and station at the rear of the site. The new location will shave minutes off EMS response time to most areas in northwestern Sussex County.
