Granite Avenue Drainage Study
Landmark staff prepared an engineering report in support of a feasibility study of solutions to correct drainage problems on Granite Avenue and Race Street in the Town of Port Deposit. The report was prepared in accordance with USDA grant funding guidelines for the study. The study analyzed several potential solutions to correct the drainage problem. Cost benefit analyses and life-cycle costs were derived for each solution. Landmark Scientists delineated wetlands, conducted a detailed environmental assessment, and developed a workable solution to the existing surface water flooding issues in an historical portion of the Town and assisted with the preliminary engineers report. They assisted in obtaining approvals from Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) Department of Natural Resources (DNR), National Housing Trust Fund Program (NHT), and Chesapeake Bay Critical Area Commission (CBCAC) for the consistency report approval.
